Happy New Season!,
Well officially now that our Annual General Meeting has been held we start a new season off.
The AGM was well attended and because of the excellent number of written nominations received prior to the meeting and the willingness of those attending the meeting to take on positions, the meeting went very well. Below is a list of the Club’s new committee for the coming season.

Important message for Junior Coaches or those pondering the thought of becoming a junior coach. There will be a Junior Coaches meeting on Monday 31st (next Monday) commencing at 7:00pm to coincide with our Monthly Committee meeting. This is a very important meeting to organise the junior teams, their trainings and also to look at a Sign-On date(s).
On the subject of Junior Coaching, a Junior Coaches’ Seminar has been scheduled for Sunday 13th August at the clubhouse from 9:00am to 12noon. Once again, this is designed for our current junior coaches and those junior parents / senior players who maybe interested in coaching juniors.
At next Monday’s Committee meeting the dates for our annual Sign-On will be decided, so stay tuned for these dates next week.
Senior players are reminded that if you have any outstanding fees owing to the Club that you will not be allowed to attend any training or participate in any matches until your outstanding fees are remitted. The Club has decided on this hard-line due to our obligations in regards to Player Insurance matters. Furthermore, no player unfinancial as at 31st of this month will be nominated for any representative squads and as advised previously, your name will be forwarded to Townsville & Queensland Cricket as an unfinancial player. If you are having difficulties, it is suggested you speak with Club President, Peter Wiltshire on 0429 192 194 to discuss this matter and any payment arrangements will need to be ratified by the Club’s Committee. If you are in this boat, it is suggested you contact Peter this week as the next committee is on Monday 31st of this month.
In closing this WebNews, a reminder of our annual working-bee this weekend. We’ve a fair amount to do around the clubhouse & the senior & junior fields to ensure everything is in tip-top shape for the coming season. Work will commence on Saturday & Sunday at 8:00am. If possible, bring along a shovel, wheelbarrow, whipper snipper, possibly a gurney and yourselves. See you there!
